Even though last week was long and stressful, I had one thing to look forward to: the photo club field trip to Galena. Before we went on Saturday, I had never been there before and this was the first time that photo club had ever gone! First we stopped by the beautiful Chestnut Mountain Resort to photograph the astounding view of the Mississippi river and everything around it. With my umbrella and camera in tow (it was misting a bit at that point) I got to spend the morning taking pictures of the wondrous scenery. After eating a lovely lunch at the one and only Culver's (lol) we finally got to go downtown. I was incredibly surprised at the beauty that one town in Illinois could hold. I felt as if I was in a different country! My friends and I spent the afternoon walking around downtown, eating in small cafes and capturing photos of each other and the life around us. I'm so thrilled to share these photos with you all. These are some of my favorites. I hope you like them!
